I figured, why not post this here...

My daughter is in a contest to be able to sing the National Anthem at the Iowa State Fair. The top 11 get to sing on the 11 days of the fair, but the #1 spot gets to sing it on opening day....

Check out the web site, register, and vote for her. You get 5 votes EACH DAY for the next 2 weeks!!! Be sure to vote all 5 times and as many days as possible.

She has some real talent...

Who ever this guy is: "We need someone older, more "seasoned" to sing such a patriotic song. " Is an Idiot... I watched all of those videos. Or atleast parts of it. And she was by far the best..

Oh.. and she has the most votes..

That is the only other place that I saw that they left a comment. He is good, don't get me wrong, but he can get his own votes elsewhere!

Yeah, she *HAD* quite the lead. She was on track for about 325 votes per day, and then today, some guy with less than 100 votes last night, and about 125 votes this morning around 10AM, managed to jump up over 500 NEW votes for himself in less than 3 hours? Sounds fishy to me. I mean, Allison had such a lead from me getting word out to EVERYONE I know via email, Facebook, several online forums, phone calls, etc, and then he gets THAT many new votes in a short period of time? Hmmm...

Haha. Someone just doing the same thing thats all Stryke. Dont worry. Im gettin all 5 of my votes in per day. How long does this last? Time to make some more email accounts and register a bunch more times. haha...

Even with all of my efforts, it still was spread out over the entire day, not 3.25 times what I had in less than 3 hours.

This goes on for another 14 days (counting today), so lots of time to create accounts and vote for anyone included to do so.

Got the call this morning that she won, surprise, surprise... She will get to sing twice that day, gets tickets to a grandstand show, etc. It would be interesting if they put the final "scores" up, but not a big deal if they don't...
